I was doing my usual EC dropping routine yesterday morning when all of a sudden all the open windows in my computer just closed and I saw a flashing warning that my computer was infected by a virus. Scared, I called my husband to check what was going on and he immediately did a PC Checkup using our Norton anti-virus software. Indeed, there was a virus! I don't really know who or what to blame. I have dropped on so many blogs that it's hard to pinpoint who infected my computer. However, I have a suspect but I'm not going to disclose it since I'm not positively sure about it. But definitely I'm not visiting that blog anymore. The 'blog suspect' really takes time to load. It doesn't matter if I use IE or Firefox, I still get the same slow result. I'm a conscientious dropper, I always try to return everyone's drop but this time this blog is off my list - definitely.

Virus Scare
My DH has warned me already about the dangers involved in EC dropping but being the hard-headed that I am, I didn't listen to him and went on my way. Right now, I'm still thinking if I'll continue dropping or not.

Hi Lou, that's happened to me twice when I still have my intel laptop during my EC dropping. Now I am using Mac book and yesterday I got few pop up window, but I ask hubby to update the apple software. If I notice like this means there's something wrong that needed attention right away because I don't get pop up window since I have this laptop, maybe having once or two but not often. Be careful on dropping your EC in other blogs.
Hi honey,
I'm so sorry to hear about this and it is indeed unnerving. I understand your not wanting to publicly name the blog, but I would really suggest you let entrecard know about it. They could start being on the lookout for these types of blogs and eliminate those that might be a danger to others.
Blessings to you dearheart. I hope you get this cleared up quickly.

SOMETIMES MINE JUST GIVES A MESSAGE AND THEN FREEZES UP MAYBE THIS IS NOT SAFE
sorry to hear about your ec dropping misfortune recently...
have a great week ahead!
take care.
That has happened to me three times. What you got is called "virtumonde" virus. Norton, McAfee, or any of the "speciality" fixes for Virtumonde will work. You still have it and it will make itself known again. The only way to get rid of Virtumonde is to download "combofix." It is a free download, just put combofix in your favorite search engine, download it from the site and run it.
Virtumonde is exremely difficult to get rid of and you may have to keep running combofix for about two days or whenever you turn on your computer. Good luck.
Maybe the blog have spyware or adware? Is it AntiVirus 360 or a360 adware?
Lou, norton anti virus is not that effective, in my experience huh. Try downloading AVG, it tracks all viruses talaga including the new ones.
Now I'm beginning to appreciate my Mac. I think I know which site you're referring too. I told my wife to avoid dropping on that site.
hey ho! sorry abt what happened...
could u tell us more abt what are the dangers involved in EC dropping?
isn't it as dangerous as visiting any other unknown site? ^^
Dropping can be quite dangerous especially for people who don't have anti-virus installed at their blogs. A good and free anti-virus would be AVG.
