At this time of the year my dog sheds quite a bit. I see dog fur all over the house but it's something we've gotten used to. Fortunately, no one at home has allergies to the dander and fur of our pet beagle. We brush him once a week to avoid further shedding. This is only temporary as he doesn't shed as much in the winter as compared to spring and summer. Beagles shed moderately and is preventable with a weekly grooming such as giving them a bath and brushing them with a medium bristled brush. To keep your house clean, vacuum regularly especially in your dog's favorite spots.
Beagles are the right choice for those who prefer pet dogs that don't shed heavily. The hairs they shed are so much shorter that they're not even noticeable.
