Sleep apnea can be treated

About 30 million to 40 million Americans suffer with sleep apnea. People who are overweight are likely to complain of sleep apnea. Overweight people tend to have overweight insides such as large tonsils or adenoids. Large tonsils can block the airways and constrict breathing. According to health experts weight loss is important to combat snoring which can hurt a person's sleep quality.

Apnea can be fatal. If not treated it can also cause daytime fatigue, memory loss, depression, anxiety, irritability, erectile dysfunction, hypertension, diabetes, seizures and strokes. To avoid sleep apnea a person should exercise regularly and avoid sleeping pills, alcohol and heavy meals or snacks at least three hours before sleep.

There are so many devices available to cure snoring from sprays, breathe right strips, herbal medicine, pillows and many more. People suffering from sleep apnea can also use a CPAP equipment which is attached to the nose and positive pressure to nasal airways is applied so the airway ventilates correctly. This sleep apnea mask if used as directed can give sleep apnea sufferers with the sleep they need so they will feel refreshed and energized every day. A CPAP user is always encouraged to get the right fit, size, and style of their mask for comfortability and proper seal for the airflow.
